A film made with AI is made the way any film is: a script, a cast, the shots, the edit, and the versions in other languages. Here is each step in Dallfy, with what it costs.
Six steps from script to finished film
Write or paste the script
Paste a screenplay, upload the PDF or Word file, or type an idea and how long the film should be, and the writer drafts one. Write in English, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic or another language and the characters speak it.
Let the checks read it
The script checks find what would go wrong later: a line with no speaker, one character spelled two ways, a scene with no heading. The simple fixes are free, and the Script stage adds up what the whole film will cost.
Design the cast and places
Each character gets one face picture, each outfit is made from that face, and each place gets one picture with nobody in it. A picture costs about $0.08. You can upload your own photos too.
Make the shots
Each scene becomes shots of 4 to 30 seconds with the dialogue and the camera written in. Plan a shot on the 3D Stage first if you like. A 30-second shot at 480p costs about $7.
Cut the film
Finished shots land on the timeline as they're made. Redo one shot without touching the rest, add captions, and export an MP4, or OTIO and XML for Resolve or Premiere.
Dub it
Dub the finished film into up to 108 languages in the original voices, about $3.93 a minute for each language, with captions in each.
Questions about making a movie with AI
How long does it take?
A few days. Shots are made one after another and appear on your timeline as each one finishes, so you can watch and fix the film while the rest is still being made.
What does a ten-minute film cost?
About $150 at 480p, or $340 at 720p, for twenty 30-second shots. Retakes and dubs are extra, and the Script stage shows the total before you spend a credit.
Do I need a finished screenplay?
No. You can paste a screenplay or upload it as a PDF or Word file. If you only have an idea, type it in with how long you want the film to be, and Dallfy writes the script.
Will the characters look the same in every scene?
Yes. Each character has one face picture, every outfit is made from it, and every shot they appear in is made from those pictures.
Can I use my own photos?
